This may require encompassing hierarchical, adversarial or 'red queen' evolutionary arrangements, but it more closely replicates how human and artificial complex systems already operate (for example, the internet). Would such biomimicry be any worse than what soon-to-be redundant people and power structures are proposing for themselves?
