Generative AI is making it easier than ever for people with no prior experience to experiment with writing code. But just how big a deal is the emergence of "conversational coding?"
Sadly no single prompt as this was the result of a long conversation and many, many back and forths -- much more of a process. However, this is the prompt that started the process and led to ideas that weren't executable but did inspire where we eventually went:
Hi ChatGPT. I want to see how far I can push your imagination in creating a simple game that will keep anyone from 10 - 100 engaged. There are some very specific parameters here that I don't want you to forger, and may remind you of. I also think we should talk before you start to flex your imagination and start the the design process.
These are the parameters:
1. The game should be written in html and JavaScript to run on a web page
2. It should fill the web page
3. It should provide simple yet engaging game play that both draws players in and keeps them hooked as it advances. Consider multiple levels and increasingly hard challenges
4. It should be as engaging for an older person t play as a younger person
5. It should be designed to run on a computer and actively controlled by keys
6. It should be original. It should not simply mimic existing games.
