Lol, I'm also a woman in Australia. I haven't seen the movie yet but intend to shortly. It'll be interesting with this review as a guide.

Actually I was watching it for research for an upcoming story about the boardroom drama at openai I'm writing for my Substack, so wasn't purely pleasure. See if you can figure out the crossover...

Please post a link when live! Interested to see how Nathan's approach to permissionless innovation plays into it (if at all!)

Will do. Here's a tiny (maybe) tease: the role of Nathan will probably be played by Brockman. Only maybe because it's not written yet so things are pretty fluid right now. Collecting insights like the one you just gave me 😉

What a trip. I watched the film for the first time yesterday. Can't believe this landed in my inbox less than 12 hours later. Like the movie gods wanted to enhance my experience 😂

Great timing indeed!

Just confirms my suspicions that everything's really about me. That's the real reason you went to Norway - so you could deliver a deeper perspective on an old film to a woman in Australia.

It is very fascinating how such effective effects can arise from such apparently distant contrasts (such as the location so immersed in nature and the theme of the film). I also really appreciated the care with which you built the parallels between the movie and your trip! Honestly, looking at it from a more consumer-oriented point of view, I find this piece and this experience rich in insights for all the references that locations, service providers and other actors can draw to apply them in creating unique experiences. Thanks for sharing.
